Who's a good fit for Pathways to Play?
- Practicum or internship students interested in specializing in child therapy or play therapy, seeking guidance, rescoures and suport to supplement their academic learning
- Provisionally licensed therapists who are looking for practical tools and techniques to enhance their clinical skills, as well as desiring a supportive community to share experiences.
- Licenced clinicians new to working with kids, maybe working towards Registered Play therapist, eager to learn and connect with others
- Child therapists facing burn out, and needing practical strategies for self care and stress management.
This Adventures in Play or our Pathways to play membership does not replace the necessity for clinical supervision. It is imperative that every intern engages in weekly meetings with a university-approved supervisor to ensure adherence to academic and professional standards. Additionally, every provisional therapist must have weekly sessions with a state-approved clinical supervisor to meet the requirements for licensure. These supervisory meetings are crucial for maintaining professional competence, ensuring ethical practice, and supporting ongoing development in clinical skills.
